Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how OK? Team (OkCheck.app) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the OK? Team iOS app. We are committed to a privacy-first approach — your location is never shared during normal check-ins.

1. Information we collect

2. How we use your information

Authenticate your account via Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email/password.
Send check-in reminder notifications and overdue alerts to team leaders.
Deliver SOS alerts with GPS coordinates to your designated team leader.
Display real-time check-in status on your team dashboard.
Allow team leaders to export check-in history as CSV reports.
Provide in-app team messaging between leaders and members.

3. Location data

📍 Location is never tracked during normal use.

GPS coordinates are only requested and transmitted in two situations:

You tap the SOS button (emergency alert to your team leader).
You miss a check-in window and the app attempts to share your last known location with your leader.

Location data is stored in AWS DynamoDB (us-east-1) and is not shared with third parties.

4. Data storage and security

All data is stored in AWS DynamoDB (us-east-1, United States).
Data is transmitted over HTTPS to our API at https://zmo9oriyxf.execute-api.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/api.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers.
Face ID / Touch ID biometrics are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

5. Data retention

Check-in records and messages are retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data associated with your account is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

6. Third-party services

Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In — used for authentication only. We receive a user identifier and email address.
Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — used to deliver push notifications to your device.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) — our infrastructure provider. Data is stored in the United States.

7. Your rights

Access: You can view your check-in history and profile within the app at any time.
Correction: Update your name or email in Settings → Profile.
Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete Account, or email team@okcheck.app.
Portability: Team leaders can export check-in data as CSV from the dashboard.

8. Children's privacy

OK? Team is not directed at children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the latest version took effect. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
